第二段第一句话同样先来个中心句，这是新概念文章一个很突出的特点。接着分别从学习，工作，生活方面一一阐述，这里仍然可以采用一句话概括一个方面的做法。影响往往是双面的，所以讲完积极的影响后还要提一下消极方面，用两句后带过就行了。
很多考生拿到试题不知如何入手，不能进行很好的“output”，很大一个原因是“input”不够。所以写作水平的提高光靠练习还不够，一定要进行大量的课后积累，经典几十年不衰的新概念系列无疑为学习者进行积累提供了一个很好的平台。学好学透新概念，以不变应万变。

解答快速阅读时，在确定了定位词且在文中找到相关信息后，常需要进行同义转换，通过将新概念第三册中的知识点和该试题中的相关信息进行同义转换，可以帮助快速解题。例如：

通过专有名词“European Union”定位找到句子“the European Union unveiled a plan to cut energy use…”，
该题答案是B (Cut energy consumption)，
从新概念三册第 46课生词表中 “consumer” 一词，很自然会扩展到动词 “consume” 和名词 “consumption”。
4. How much of the power consumed by incandescent bulbs is converted into light？
通过副标题 “Change Bulbs” 定位找到句子 “Bulbs…wastes most of the power it consumes on unwanted heat”
第35课出现 “convert” 一词，第59课出现 “unwanted” 一词，综合一下， “most” power → “consumed on unwanted heat” 推断出“A small portion”（正确选项）→ “converted into light”。

Energy service contractor profit by taking a part of clients’根据引号定位找到句子 “Energy service contractor” will pay for retrofitting in return for a share of the client’s annual utility-bill savings.第14课的 “in return” 和19 课的 “share” 都是作为重要语言点处理的，由此可以得出 “share” 和 “take a part of” 是同义，所以填 “annual utility-bill savings”。

Many environmentalists still push that view”，第41课出现动词 “maintain”, 其意思相当于 “push that view”，第23课有 “associate with”这一词组，意思是 “have something to do with”，所以该处填 “self-denial”。另外第3题正确选项中的关键词组 “get rid of” 在28课出现。
三、听力理解：
听力理解中好几道题的成功作答都和对句子的分析有关，其中有些句型是新概念第三册中出现的。12. What do we learn from the conversation?
答案是 “Nancy regrets buying the dress”，
作答根据是 “She said she would never have bought an Italian style dress if she had known Mary had already got such a dress.”
这是在新概念2反复出现并会被反复操练的虚拟语态的句子，在新概念第三册也出现多次，只要理解虚拟语态内涵，即可轻松作答。
