    A Guide for Claims Settlement

      (For Consignee)

      1. Send a Letter of Claim to the Carrier as well as the Agent of Carrier and/or the Port of Discharge within 7 days after the consignment is discharged, inform them of the damage, hold them responsible for it, and get confirmation of receipt from them;

      2. Report to the police if the estimated claim amount exceeds USD 3000, and it is a case of pilferage or robbery or car accident; and get any certificate issued by police;

      3. Collect the following documents for claims settlement:

      A. Original Insurance Policy;

      B. Original Bill of Lading and/or Original Air Waybill; [ VERY IMPORTANT ]

      C. Sales Contract, Commercial Invoice & Packing List (with chop);

      D. Photos showing the loss or damage of goods and/or outside package;

      E. Certificate of loss or damage and/or short-landed memo issued by the carrier, the port and/or the customs which can prove that the loss/damage occurred during transit and the extent of damage (e.g.: Damage Report issued by the carrier, or Unclean B/L); [ VERY IMPORTANT ]

      F. Notice of Claim addressed to the carrier or responsible third party, and any response or compensation letter from them;

      G. Provide us with your Bank Information, including the Bank Name, Bank Address, Bank Account and Beneficiary Name. If you need PICC to pay the consignor instead, please write to certify the consignor to handle all the claim procedure as well as to receive the Indemnity on your behalf.

      H. Please issue a Subrogation Form declaring that, after receiving the indemnity, you would assign, transfer and subrogate to PICC all your right, title, interests and remedies in the said cargo, and to grant PICC full power and give PICC any assistance we may reasonably require of you in the exercise of such right and remedies in our or your name.

      出口货运险出险索赔指引(发货人使用)

      一、拨打95518向投保所在的PICC报案;

      二、要求海外客户在卸货之日起7天内向目的地货运代理及船方或航空公司、卸货港(承运人)发出书面索赔函,列明货物损失数量及金额,并取得对方的回应(正式的事故确认函或盖章回传);

      三、被盗案件或内陆运输过程中机动车辆失事且金额超过USD 3000的,务必报告当地警方,且取得相关警方证明;

      四、收集资料进行索赔:

      1、 保单正本原件(保单上有ORIGINAL字样。保单被保险人为发货人的,请被保险人在保单背后盖章)

      2、 提单或运单原件(重要!如实在无法提供原件则要求复印件加盖承运人章,或提供相关辅助证明,如运输合同,运费支付凭证等)

      3、 商业发票原件盖章,装箱单原件盖章,买卖合同复印件(根据案情需要提供)

      4、 事故照片(应能看出明显货损货差、外包装破损等,如货物整件丢失则无需提供)

      5、 第三方事故证明原件。由目的港承运人或代理提供,证明事故损失原因及损失情况,尽可能明确外包装有无破损或被盗痕迹。如:机场事故签证、货损货差证明、 海关 证明、不清洁提单、不清洁签收单等。(重要!如无法提供则无法赔付)

      6、 索赔函(如上述第二点所述)及承运人的回应、赔偿函(回应可是email或传真等)。

      7、 关于赔付问题:发货人在指定地点交货后,货物所有权发生转移,收货人自动获得保险利益,因此原则上赔款只能支付给具有保险利益的被保险人,即收货人。如赔付到国外或香港、澳门、台湾银行账户,请提供收货人开户行名称、银行详细地址,开户名,帐号。

      8、 收货人出具权益转让书(Subrogation Form)。

      9、 如收款人帐号在国内,必须填写赔款收据、出险索赔通知书及权益转让书(中文版)。

       索赔资料填写指引:①赔款收据:只需填写户名、开户行、帐号、联系人、电话,另在签章处盖被保险人公章(一式三联);如收款人为个人时,需签名、按手印(一式三联)、写上身份证号码并提供身份证复印件。②出险索赔通知书、权益转让书:需填写空白项并签名盖公章,写日期。

      注意:所提供帐号币种必须与保单上保险金额币种相符,否则无法赔付。
